FSS offers design analyses and verification of offshore structures. We combine state-of-the-art computer modelling techniques with practical hands-on knowledge of both fixed and floating platforms as well as mobile offshore units.

Vessel and Rig Design
FSS has carried out the design of various vessels, both mono-hulls and semi-submersibles. We have the structural and hydrodynamic expertise and software available for optimisation of the vessel according to the Client’s needs and requirements. We act together with our partners to cover all disciplines related to vessel design. On several occasions we have also been involved in vessel modifications in order to improve the workability of the vessel, both structurally and hydro-dynamically.
Naval Architecture & Hydrodynamic Analysis
FSS employs highly qualified naval architects with a broad experience within hydrodynamic analysis. FSS specialises in the intact and damage stability analyses of ships, drilling rigs and other floating structures in addition to the prediction and analysis of ship motions in waves. We also specialise in the design of inshore and offshore moorings.
Structural Engineering
FSS provides structural strength analyses of vessels, jackets and modules for transportation, lifting and installation operations. We have also investigated the fatigue life of major structures under transportation, installation and in-place load regimes. Our staff of structural engineers, naval architects, and hydro-dynamists are practised in solving a wide range of structural engineering problems within the offshore and maritime industries.
